Our Story

Premier Pet Lodge was born out of a passion for animals and a desire to create a meaningful life. We wanted to work together as a family, homeschool our children, and pursue our love for pets. Our experience with a less-than-ideal boarding facility inspired us to build a place where pets truly feel at home.

At Premier Pet Lodge, we prioritize personal care and attention for every furry guest. We believe in getting to know each pet individually to ensure their needs are met. Our facility is designed to provide a comfortable and stimulating environment, and our team is dedicated to providing exceptional care.

Tanya has over 25 years of experience in the animal field, starting with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology from the University of MN and continuing on to be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT). She has worked as a naturalist at Long Lake Conservation Center, a vet tech at the Minnesota Zoo, a wildlife rehab CVT, as well as a toxicology specialist for Pet Poison Help Line. Mike was a Certified Medical Coder before becoming an entrepreneur, and he can read a dog like a book!

Our small but mighty team is committed to providing the best possible care for your pets. Owners Mike and Tanya bring a wealth of experience and love for animals to the business. Our children also play an active role, contributing their unique talents and compassion.

Our philosophy is simple: to treat every pet like family. We strive to go above and beyond, providing personalized care, a safe environment, and a loving atmosphere. We believe in honesty, transparency, and open communication with our clients.
